After a conversation with Phil i thought it would be good to explore the demons a child soldier faces when he loses his innocence. The biggest challenge a child soldier faces is a mental challenge along with physical. They are then introduced to drugs to numb their emotions when they can not handle their reality, from the loss of family and friends to physically being traumatised. Their minds are then manipulated and controlled, their enemies become their families, they are told to believe in nothing better. I thought i would explore the psychological battle they face when they are in that state. Everything they come in contact with is the enemy if they are not familiar with it.
i started to experiment with a free software called alchemy to come up with these concepts. i combined gun shapes and skulls to create these "demons".
Very interesting concepts, you have made some powerful images via your combination of guns and skulls and have of course kept the strong relation to the damaged minds of child soldiers via the Rorschach Inkblot Test. With your use of guns and skulls to create this imagery you've further established your connection between violence and death involved in the life of a child soldier, which for those who do not know of child soldiers is very important. I particularly like the top-left image which to me resembles a mix of a bat, wolf and crossbones as well as bottom-middle which reminds me of a lioness :)
